KSMU IN THE HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT OF PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

October 25-26, 2018, in  Astana on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Alma-Ata Declaration, was held the Global Conference on Primary Health Care, in the framework of which was signed a new improved declaration, adapted to the modern 21st century.

The conference, co-hosted by Government of Kazakhstan, the World Health Organization and UNICEF. Participants of 146 countries of the world come together at the Global Conference on Primary Health Care to recommit to strengthening primary health care to achieve universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals. 

The anniversary of this seminal milestone in global health provides an opportunity to reaffirm the principles of the original declaration and underline the importance of primary health care to achieve our collective goals.

A delegation from Karaganda State Medical University, represented by the following employees, was also sent to participate in the conference:

Teleuov Murat Koyshibaevich - doctor of medical sciences, professor, vice-rector for organizational and economic work;

Muldaeva Gulmira Mendigireevna - doctor of medical sciences, associate professor, head of the department of general practice№2;

Bobyrev Semyon Sergeevich - PhD candidate, assistantof the department of general practice№1;

Otynshiyev Bakhtiar Nurzhanovich - master student, assistantof the department of general practice№1.

During the conference, our team was fortunate enough to participate in curated guests from other countries, such as Argentina and the Netherlands. Personally with the Minister of  Health of Argentina, Adolfo Rubenstein, to discuss issues of further cooperation between the universities of Argentina and our university.

This is truly a great historical event for all of us!
