Vaccination at the University
Karaganda State Medical University September 27-28, 2018 in the
framework of preventive measures, he vaccinated against influenza among
university staff and medical staff of clinics. More than 300 employees were
vaccinated. For vaccination, Grippol® plus (Grippol plus) was used, which has
an immunostimulating effect. Influenza is an acute viral infection that spreads
easily from person to person. In temperate regions, seasonal epidemics occur,
mainly in the cold season.
According to WHO: the annual epidemics of seasonal influenza result in 3-5 million cases of serious illness and 250 000 - 500 000 deaths worldwide. In industrialized countries, the majority of deaths associated with influenza occur among people age 65 and older. By severity, the disease varies from mild to severe, sometimes fatal. Hospitalization and lethal cases occur mainly in high-risk groups.
