Academic mobility to the Palacky University
“We can’t predict the future, but we can create it” – the
motto of Palacky University.
I am 2nd year student of the “General medicine” specialty of Karaganda State
Medical University. From the July 8 to August 5, 2018, I am trained at the
clinic of the Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, where I studied
clinical genetics. Professor MUDr. Ph.D. Martin Procházka created a schedule
for me, where I studied a new method of observation of human genetics. My
teachers were doc. RNDr. Radek Vrtěl, Ph.D., RNDr. Pavlína Čapková, Ph.D., doc.
MUDr. Peter Rohoň, Ph.D., MUDr. Renáta Černičková, RNDr. Kateřina Adamová,
Ph.D., Mgr. Mária Janíková, Ph.D., Mgr. Zuzana Čapková.
The clinic of the Palacky University looks like a small town, where work highly
experienced doctors and study students. There were organized classes of
hereditary metabolic, chromosomal, genomic, oncological, hemorrhagic diseases
for me.
I visited the Department of Scientific Research, where scientists work and students study in the PhD program. I received priceless criticism for my work and future research from the key scientist of Palacky University Moudrý Pavel Ph.D. I became a much more open-minded person. In the last week, using MLP analysis, I was asked to check my DNA for forecasting Congenital Heart Disease. This analysis I was making by myself during three days under the supervision of a tutor Mgr. Zuzana Čapková. I saw the equipment that was state of the art, however doctors were embarrassed and said that it will be much more than that and they are waiting for new equipment for more correct results.
