Experience and observation - these are the greatest sources of wisdom,

access to which is open to everyone.

W.E.Chenning

From June 15 to July 2, 2018, we, third-year students of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry, Damir Saipov, Kamila Myrzakhmetova, Samal Musukulova, Aknur Rakhmetolinova and Zhandos Maksut, held practical training in IMERETI REGIONAL CLINICAL HOSPITAL, as part of the program of external academic mobility of  students between the Karaganda State Medical University and the Akaki Tsereteli State University. Our mentors were Maiko Giorgadze and Mikhail Shavgulidze.

For two weeks we have taken the experience of foreign colleagues in the field of general surgery, therapy, visual diagnostics. We were divided into 2 groups, where the first group was in the department of therapy and the second group-in the department of surgery.

In the therapeutic department, we participated at the bypass of patients, collected complaints, anamnesis, general examination, palpation, percussion and auscultation of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, urinary and neuroendocrine systems, revealed internal syndrome, isolated the leading syndrome and participated in the formulation of the preliminary diagnosis . In the surgical department, we participated in patient visits, in physiotherapy, worked in a dressing room, collected and interpreted X-ray images, data from functional and laboratory studies and participated in the preparation for the operation.

In our spare time, we attended fascinating lectures of the orthopedic surgeon, as well as the teacher of the Akaki Tsereteli State University, Mikhail Shavgulidze. At the lectures we got acquainted with  students of many foreign countries who study in English.

We were impressed by the scale and level of the clinic, the respectful attitude of the clinic's staff to us, the desire to share experience and knowledge, creating excellent conditions for practice.

We got an opportunity to acquire valuable professional skills and in the future to be useful to our country.

We express our gratitude for the opportunity to pass the training practice in Georgia to the rector of our university R.S.Dosmagambetova, to all the employees of the International Cooperation Department, in particular to S.B.Kasymova and B.S.Yerimbetova.
