The section "Russian as a foreign language" of the Russian Language Department took part in the III International scientific and methodological online conference "Methods of foreign languages ​​and Russian as a foreign language teaching: traditions and innovations", in cooperation with the Kursk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Russia, Kursk), The RUDN University (Russia, Moscow), the A.S. Pushkin State Russian Language Institute (Russia, Moscow), Representation of Russian cooperation “the Russian Center of Science and Culture” in Malaysia (Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur), the Belarusian State Medical University (Republic of Belarus, Minsk).

During the conference, a productive exchange of views took place, informative reports on topical problems of teaching Russian in a foreign audience were made. Questions related to the searching, development and implementation of new educational technologies, innovative approaches in languages teaching, the exchange of methodological experience and information between teachers of language disciplines, and the discussion of international cooperation in the field of education, science and culture aroused a particular interest of the KSMU teachers of Russian as a foreign language. Teachers Z.S. Akisheva, N.A. Bekbalakova, E.R. Keller-Deditskaya, M.M. Tutkusheva, N.F. Yushko took an active part in discussing the problems of the methodology of adaptation of curriculum and teaching materials in Russian language for foreign students studying in English, innovative pedagogical technologies in Russian as a Foreign Language Teaching, integration processes in the pedagogical practice of the humanities and clinical departments of the medical university, the professionally oriented Russian as a Foreign Language Teaching in the framework of medical specialties. The conference contributed to the consolidation of the efforts of theoretical scientists and practitioners in the field of the development of methodological science, in the intensification of Russian language teaching in the framework of a multilingual education.
