The games of the 1st Cup of the KSMU on football took place on the open sports ground of hostel №4.

At the end of the XV Championship of the KSMU the group of football fans appealed to the main judge of the competition A.K.Tukhmetov with a request to extend the sports season. The chief judge granted their request, as a result, another tournament was added to the sports calendar of the KSMU - the cup of football.

8 student teams representing the dormitories, faculties and specialties of KSMU took part in the tournament: "Dormitory 1" (Captain Moldarbekov Beksultan), "Neurology" (Kayirken Madi), "Internship" (Kairbekov Almat), "Dentistry" (Karimov Zhandarbek), "Therapy" (Nurushev Zharzhyn), "Surgery" (Moldash Darkhan), "Lodgers 1" (Adіl Bauyrzhan) and "Lodgers 2" (Aitmagambet Adіlkhan).

Games were held on the Olympic system the loser is dropped out of the cup. One of the sensations of the cup was the defeat of the ¼ final of the current champions “Internship” from the bronze winner of the last championship “Dentistry” with a score of 6:2.

In the semifinal, “Dentistry” winning 3:0 sensationally  lost  "Therapy" on penalty 1:2 (regular time 5:5).

In the dramatic final, "Therapy" losing during a game was able to equalize the score 5:5, but "golden" goal  of Ayat Abdramanov  in the last minutes  brought "Lodgers 1" a victory in the first Cup of the KSMU on football.
