15th Republican Contest “The Best Graduate – 2018” was held in the Astana Medical Unversity on May 23-24, 2018. 35 students from all medical Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the competition.

 The honor of Karaganda State Medical University was defended by: "The best intern obstetrician-gynecologist of the KSMU" - Yulia Iskra; "Best intern surgeon of the KSMU" - Adіlet Kenzhebay; "The best intern pediatrician of the KSMU" - Kassym Sarsenbaev;  "The best intern therapist of the KSMU" - Aliya Kaisina;  "The best intern of the general medical practice of the KSMU" - Aliya Ashimova; "The best intern dentist of the KSMU" - Anna Mikhailuk.

The competition was held in three stages. In the first stage, an intern had to pass test according to the specialty;in the second stage,interns showed practical skills in providing emergency care by the use of simulation technologies. The third stage was the assessment of medical science projects. As a result of the contest, Kassym Sarsenbayev, Aliya Kaisina and Adilet Kenzhebay won the nominations "Best Pediatrician", "Best Therapist", "Best Surgeon", respectively.
