On April 16-19, 2018 at the Department of Neurosurgery and Neurology of KSMU, a master class on the topic "Surgical Treatment of Neuropathic Pain and Spasticity" was held in the clinic of the RMC, with the international participation of Professor of Neurosurgery, Lyons University Marc P. Sindou. Lectures and demonstrations of video films by Professor Marc P. Sindou of Lyons University were read on the topic Method Operation "DREZ-surgery of the cervical part in case of pain syndrome", "Brachial plexus avulsion for Drezotomy", "Spastic diplegia in CP children for Dorsal Rhizotomy", analysis of patients, " Spastic upper limb in hemiplegic for cervical Drezotomy. Analysis of the operation, "Spastic foot in hemiplegic for Tibial nerve neurotomy" and Spastic hand in hemiplegic for Median Ulnar neurotomies.

  The doctors - neurosurgeons, neuropathologists of Karaganda region, residents of 1-2 years of training, in the specialties of neurosurgery and neurology took part.

  The method of surgical treatment was shown - "DREZ - surgery of the cervical department with pain syndrome", "Drez-surgery of the lumbar spasms", "Selective dorsal rhizotomy for spasticity", "Neurotomy of the tibial nerve when spasizing"

In the master class, doctors of neurosurgeons, neuropathologists and residents were acquainted with the surgical methods of treating pain manifestations and spasticity in the pathology of the upper cervical and waist divisions of the spinal cord, the pathology of the lumbar spasm at the salvage of Professor Marc P. Sindou, 3 demonstration operations were performed, Drez-lumbar surgery, selective dorsal rhizotomy, tibial nerve neurotomy by new technological methods.

The listeners expressed their opinion about the results of the diagnostic and clinical examination, the choice of methods of surgical approaches. Wide use was made of the protocols for the diagnosis and treatment of neuropathic pain and spasticity in the pathology of the cervical and lumbar spine, approved in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main conclusion of the master class was the urgency of choosing new modern approaches to the surgical treatment of neuropathic pain and spasticity.
