Internship in the Ataturk University
As part of the academic mobility in the period from
25.03.2018 until 03.04.2018 the scientific-practical internship took place in
the Ataturk University, which is situated in Erzurum, Turkey. The following
students of KSMU, of the specialty “Medicine” completed an internship there:
A.Z. Bakirova, O.V. Vishnitskiy, A.M. Zhumakayev, S.S. Zhumakayeva, and A.P.
Rudenko. The Turkish land is rich for
its history and it is associated with a warm sea, soft climate and delicious
Turkish coffee. Erzurum is considered to be the main city in the Asian Trukey.
In distinction from the touristic part of the country the climate here is
extremely continental. The city is built in the valley surrounded by mountain
mass. As Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin said: “Erzurum is glorious by its water.
Euphrates flows in three versts far from the city. But there are lots of
fountains. Each person has tin vessel hanging on a chain and the kind Muslims
drink and can’t stop praising”.
Ataturk University holds the leading position in the education quality. It’s quantity of foreign students takes the third place among the Universities. The campus of multidisciplinary University is in the third part of Erzurum. The 2017-2018 calculation showed that there are about 300.000 students, 2.700 tutors, who study and work in 22 faculties, 18 colleges, 8 institutions and 30 Study Centers.
During the 8 days period there was an active study process, which included lectures according to the study plan and schedule from professors of that university, such as Professor Atif Bayramoglu. The study was in English and Turkish. Within all of this we’ve been entitled to clinical experience exchange in “Arastirma Hastanesi” hospital as follows in the orthopaedics, general surgery, endocrinologic surgery, otorhinolaryngology, hyperbaric oxygenation, transplantology, endocrinology, endodontia, gastroenterology, hepatology and nutririon sectors.
The word Erzurum means “seed”. We hope that the seed of knowledge planted in that city is going to grow for the good of Kazakhstan.
We accord a thank to the rector of Karaganda State Medical University R.S. Dosmagambetova, vice-rector A.A. Turmukhambetova, to the dean of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry V.B. Tashkenbayeva, to the deputy dean A.B. Bokayeva, also to all the employees of the International Cooperation Department, and to our mentors.
