25 April 2018

We are residents of the 2 year of study of the "Psychiatry" specialty: L.V. Lisyuk, N.V. Burmistrova, D.A. Beibitov, M.M. Shabdenov have passed two-week training on the program of academic mobility in the Tajik State Medical University named after Abuali ibni Sino. This was the first experience of exchange on the program of postgraduate education in the framework of a contract between two universities.

From the very first day we received a warm welcome from M.D. Sadriddinova and doctors of Professor M.G. Gulyamov Republican Narcology Center: D.Kh. Olimov, A.R. Dzhobirov, A.Kh. Khakimov.

During our stay in Dushanbe, we attended lectures on the topic of "Pharmacotherapy in the treatment of mental diseases", "Substitutive therapy with methadone in the treatment of opioid addiction", "Use of pyrotherapy, electroconvulsive therapy in the treatment of psychosis", "Holotropic breathing in the complex treatment of patients". We attended the classes of the head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, MD, Professor N.М. Sharapova, who is the daughter of the famous professor M.G. Gulyamov and assistant of the department  Z.Kh. Nisanbayeva. On the basis of psychiatric departments, we took part in cure of patients and study of clinical cases. During the training we visited Professor M.G. Gulyamov Republican Narcology Center, Republican Psychiatric Hospital and Center of Mental Health Support, where we participated in the reception of patients.

Apart from our study, we were impressed by the cultural events. We visited the Botanical Garden of Dushanbe, AFC Cup club football tournament, the “Istiklol” – “Alay” match, and also conducted an excursion to the new huge diagnostic center of “Istiklol”, built in honor of the 25th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. We travelled to the nearby city of Gissar, where we had a tour of the ancient buildings of the Gissar fortress, as well as the largest tea house in the world – "Kokhi Navruz". The employees of the narcological dispensary told us about the history of the city and took us to the most interesting and beautiful places in Dushanbe.

We express our gratitude to the rector of the KSMU, Professor R.S. Dosmagambetova, and the International Cooperation Department for the provided opportunity of training and support!

Also we would like to extend our thanks to the Tajik State Medical University, and the people of the Republic of Tajikistan for their splendid hospitality and cordial welcome!
