XXXXVIII Conference of the Central-Kazakhstan Branch of the Minor Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan

  On April 4-15, the XXXXVIII regional scientific and practical conference of the Central Kazakhstan branch of the Minor Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan is held at the bases of the universities of Karaganda. This year, the conference was dedicated to the "World Health Day".

  The main purpose of the scientific forum is to find and support children with an interest in in-depth study of the sciences and leading an active educational and research work.

  The research work of pupils of grades 8-11 of general and specialized schools and secondary specialized schools of the region was allowed to participate in the following areas: valeology, biology, chemistry, ecology, medicine, literature, linguistics, history, culture, mathematics, physics, computer science, geography, etc.

  The organizers of the II round of the conference, Central Kazakhstan Branch of the MAS RK (President Professor S.Terekhin) and Karaganda State Medical University aims to draw the attention of the pedagogical and academic and practical community of the region to work with children who runs research activities  and to summarize the research work of schoolchildren and teachers for the academic year.

  "The Youth Affairs Department" together with the “Department of Nutrition and General Hygiene", "Department of Biology" and "The Department of Pharmaceutical disciplines with chemistry course" organized the work of scientific sections in the areas: "Valeology", "Biology", "Chemistry", "Ecology" and "Medicine" on the basis of KSMU. Over 70 young scientists made presentations at the conference. The themes of some school research work deserve attention at a higher level, for example: the report of a pupil of Gymnasium No.38 Dina Salekhova on the subject "The state of the vegetative nervous system, emotional stress and blood pressure in high school students" or the report of Maria Stepanenko, a pupil of the “Murager” Specialized Boarding School "Pharmacognistic study of endemic species of thyme choppy and thyme shaving as a promising source of phytopreparations" and the work of Zubkova Valeriya, a pupil of Lyceum No. 2 "Efficiency of using phytoremediation for soil purification from heavy metals".

  According to the results of the II round, 11 winners received the opportunity to supplement their research and scientific experience with participation in the republican conference of the MAS RK. Two school research projects will be nominated for participation in the XVI International Environmental Forum "Green Planet 2018".
