The official visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Prabhat Kumar, in Karaganda State Medical University.

On April 19, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Prabhat Kumar, paid an official visit to Karaganda State Medical University. In addition to Mr. Ambassador, the Second Secretary of the Ambassador, Mr. Raju Balakrishnan, took part in the meeting.

At the moment, 7935 students are studying at KSMU, among them 1158 students are from India. For the preparation of graduate students for testing to confirm diplomas in the Medical Council of India, during the year at KSMU there are lectures with the participation of professors from India, more than 30 lectures have been conducted over the past period. In addition, this year 2 professors from the Medical College named after Mahatma Gandhi Sharma Shiv Kumar and Sharma Manoj Kumar conduct classes for students at the Department of Pathological Physiology and at the Department of General Pharmacology KSMU.

On January 18, 2018 a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in the field of health, academic, scientific and cultural cooperation with the National University of Jaipur (Jaipur, India.).

Also, external outgoing academic mobility of students and teaching staff is developing with India. For example, in 2013, 7 students of the specialty "General Medicine" passed practical training at the Medical College of Molana Azad (Medical College), also this College was visited by the Dean of the International Medical Faculty K.K. Toleubekov, the Deputy Dean for Educational Work - D.M. Doskozhin and specialist for work with foreign students - Kumar Dinesh. In 2018, from January 5 to 19, a training course was organized for 7 students of the specialty "General Medicine" of the KSMU at the Eternal Heart Care Center Hospital in Jaipur. During the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the hospital Eternal. Also in the period from 8 to 15 January 2018, 5 students and 2 doctoral students of the specialty "Technology of Pharmaceutical Production" and "Pharmacy" were trained at pharmaceutical plants in the Republic of India in the framework of the academic mobility program.

During this visit our guests were presented with the Museum, the Laboratory of Collective Use and the Library of the Karaganda State Medical University, after which a meeting with the rector of the university, Professor R.S. Dosmagambetova was held. The meeting with Mr. Ambassador was participated by the Dean of the International Medical Faculty K.K. Toleubekov, the Deputy Dean for Educational Work D.M. Doskozhin, specialist on work with foreign students Kumar Dinesh, teacher of the Department of Pathological Physiology Sharma Shiv Kumar and teacher of the Department of General Pharmacology Sharma Manoj Kumar.

KSMU thanks the Ambassador for the productive meeting, as well as the Embassy of India for the opportunity of cooperation, and also expresses sincere interest in further continuation and expansion of cooperation with universities, research centers and clinics in India.
