Since March 19 of this year, specialists of the Regional Department for Religious Affairs (DRA), members of the republican information and advocacy group and theologians of NGO "Nurly bilim" held a series of meetings with students of KSMU using in clothes elements of religious attributes, as part of the preventive work to improve the religious situation in the student environment.

During these interviews, DRA specialists explained the main aspects of the Concept of State Policy in the Religious Sphere of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2020, aimed at further improving state-confessional and inter-confessional relations, strengthening secular foundations. In general, the principles and approaches of the national state policy in the religious sphere are covered.

Theologians of NGO "Nurly bilim" explained the canons of traditional Islam, there were given the concepts of jihad, the principles of a secular state, the order of its relationship with religion.

Based on the results of the meetings, the students expressed a desire to hold similar meetings in the future, in connection with which the organizers decided to hold such events on a monthly basis.
