On March 29, 2018, in the reading room of the hostel No4 of the Department of Public Health and Nursing there was held an event dedicated to the World Health Day, which has been celebrated annually since April 7, 1948. The day before, on March 28, there was celebrated the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Vice - Rector for Economical Works, the dean of the Sanitary  and Hygienic Faculty, the head of the Department of Social Medicine and the Organization of Public Health (1984-2003) A. M. Filatov. The evening began with words of gratitude and memory to a man who did a lot for the university.

The topic of the World Health Day 2018 - "Universal coverage of health services: to everyone and everywhere." Students of 5-004 group of the specialty "Public Health" under the leadership of senior teacher N.F. Saifulina told about the importance of access to medical services for reaching the highest level of health for all peoples and conducted an intellectual game "What? Where? When?" on knowledge of the history of medicine. The experts from the hostel won with a score of 6: 1.

The World Health Day was attended by the deputy dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Biology and Pharmacy A.K. Omarova and all the teachers of the department. Head of the Department Associate Professor S.R. Zhakenova thanked everyone for their active participation and wished everyone good health.
