Senior Lecturer of the  Department of Epidemiology and Occupational Health N.O. Alysheva visited the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology of SKMA within the framework of academic mobility program of faculty members between the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA) and Karaganda State Medical University (KSMU) from 26.03.2018 to 06.04.2018. Head of the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology of SKMA is MD, Acting Professor B.Z. Doltaeva.

N.O. Alysheva during her stay in SKMA read problem lectures and practical training for students  of 3 and 5 courses of the specialty "Public Health" on the subject "Epidemiology". Practical exercises were conducted using interactive teaching methods. All kinds of activities were intensive and interesting. Discussion with students on the prevention of various clinical entities of infectious diseases was carried out. There was conducted master class for employees of the department and students on the topic: "Infection control of nosocomial infections in hospitals." 

Problems and solutions to organize and conduct infection control of nosocomial infections with the staff of the department was discussed at the master class. Views and opinions on teaching features were exchanged.

At the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology SKMA there was proposed and implemented methods of retrospective epidemiological analysis of long-term dynamics of infectious diseases. Work of senior teacher N.O. Alysheva was highly appreciated by the leadership of SKMA, as evidenced by a review that was presented to the Rector of our University Professor R.S. Dosmagambetova.
