On the 29th and 30th March within the walls of the main building of the RUDN University IX the All- Russia students` Olympiad was held with the international participation on the therapeutic stomatology. The organizer of this event was the Scientific Students` Society of the Medical Institute of the RUDN University.

Traditionally, The Olympiad was opened by the Director of the Medical Institute of the RUDN University – Aleksey Yuryevich Abramov and the Head of the Therapeutic Dentistry Department - Fatima Yuryevna Daurova.

Participants of The Olympiad were 3rd - 5th year students, studying in the Dentistry Faculty. They came from 14 various universities of Russia (Pirogov RNRMU, DSMU, PFSPSMU, SPU, SSMU, TSMU, PSMU)  and we also ( Kazakhstan, KSMU) had a chance to participate there. 

5 contests were presented:

5. Dental restoration

Our team was consisted of  three 5th year students of general medicine and dentistry  faculty: Ruzilya Garifullina, Gulzhan Makayeva and Asem Toktamysova. We made a presentation about our university and provided an introductory video with the speech of the rector of the KSMU Raushan Sultanovna Dosmagambetova. According to the results of the “Welcome” contest our team took 3rd place losing only to the teams of St. Petersburg and Arkhangelsk.

  Gulzhan Makayeva (5th year student of general medicine and dentistry faculty) presented a poster presentation on the topic "Determining the need for orthodontic treatment of children in Karaganda" (Head: Adina Gabitzhanovna Zharmagambetova -  PhD, assistant of the Department of Children's Dentistry and Surgical Dentistry). According to the results of the "Posters" contest she was awarded 1 place and was awarded with the first degree diploma.

  Prize-winners of the Olympiad were awarded valuable gifts with dental materials from the companies Tokuyama Dental, CURAPROX, SENSODYNE.

  We are sincerely grateful to the leadership of the KSMU in the person of the rector, Professor Dosmagambetova Raushan Sultanovna for the opportunity to participate in the international level Olympiad, the scientific circle of the Department of Children's Dentistry and Surgical Dentistry under the supervision of the Head of the Department Tuleutayeva Svetlana Toleuovna for assistance in conducting the study and discussing the results, for the proposed research topic, giving an interest and attention to the work.

  We thank our teachers who always strive to make us professionals! Low bow to the teachers who believed in us and supported us all the time we were in Moscow!

  These were the most remarkable days spent in Moscow. We are proud to be students of Karaganda State Medical University!
