The month of tuberculosis prevention dedicated to the "World TB Day" ends in the Karaganda region.

The Youth Affairs Department together with the Department of Phthisiology conducted a series of events dedicated to the republican month.

The first step was the demonstration on the Educational TV series of videos in a visual form that explained to students and teachers of KSMU the symptoms and ways of spread of the disease and methods of prevention and treatment of this disease.

The next step was to hold a theatrical performance on the prevention of tuberculosis on the square in front of the Central Department Store. The action had coverage in the media.

The campaign to distribute in the KSMU dormitories the booklets describing the symptoms of the disease and with detailed instructions for those wishing to be screened was the final chord of anti-tuberculosis actions.

Summing up the month, the head of the Department of Phthisiology, Professor N.S.Tabriz noted: "At the modern level of medicine tuberculosis is not a verdict, it's just a diagnosis. The earlier the disease is identified, the higher the chances of recovery".

In conclusion, it should be mentioned that the country pays a lot of attention to the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis. Our medicine uses the most advanced techniques and modern drugs to combat this dangerous disease, which has led to a significant reduction in the incidence of tuberculosis in Kazakhstan in recent years.
