Exercises started with signal to alert the KSMU employees gathering at workplaces, mobilizing ATS the employees and students to operate in the emergency situation, and forming the civil defense’s (CD) PPE.

The exercises were supervised by the KSMU’s CD staff chief A.M. Zinin.

A.M. Zinin arrived on time appointed to check the CD PPE provision point’s preparedness to act.

The commander of CD PPE, the teacher Zh.A. Aldanova reported to the the KSMU’s CD staff chief about the PPE provision point’s readiness and the CD PPE divisions began practical actions.

Registration and issuance of coupons were carried out for persons who came up to the PPE provision point.

The commander of the PPE provision department M.K. Kenzhekeeva instructed those who were present how the size of the gas helmet mask is determined. Depending on the size, instructor D.S. Aubakirova were choosing and picking for trainees a suitable helmet-mask.

The next step was the department of gas masks preparing for usage, its hygienic treatment which was carried out by the commander of the unit G.V. Karshalova.

Further, the instructor of the same unit K.T Tulekbayeva explained the right way of folding a gas mask and carrying the bag, also, she taught the rules of wearing a gas mask.

After that stage, the trainees were sent to the technical inspection unit of the PPE PP point, the so-called "fumigation" tent, where gas masks were checked for leaks. The commander of this unit O.K. Zhamantayev told that a necessary concentration of irritant were created and there are strict rules of behavior in the fumigation tent. The trainees who started to feel sick in the fumigation tent, suffer the irritation of the eyes or a strong smell during the inspection of gas masks were evacuated from the tent and sent to a medical post, where the first medical aid was provided by the commander of unit N.F. Sayfulina.

In the process of training, the personnel included in the formation of civil defense demonstrated skills and knowledge of functional duties, the ability to competently make decisions in the urgent emergency situation. The competent actions and good knowledge of their duties were assessed as "Good" by the staff of "The formation of the CD PPE "Ready to act".
