The 11th International Conference "Advanced Technologies and Treatment for Diabetes 2018" (ATTD 2018) passed in Vienna (Austria) оn February 14-17, 2018. The conference was attended by more than 2900 specialists in the field of diabetes from 84 countries. The main objective of the conference was the creation of steady partnership between doctors and medical engineers in terms of such new technologies for treatment of diabetes as pump insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring system and artificial pancreas.

Karaganda State Medical University at ATTD 2018 was represented by Dinara Sheryazdanova, first year doctoral student of the "Medicine" specialty. The doctoral student successfully presented report "Interleukin 6 and Tumor necrosis factor in type 2 diabetes mellitus predicting" as part of new technologies for treating obesity and preventing related diabetes. Gained experience of participation in international conferences shows that scientific staff of KSMU are able to compete in the highest level with advanced medical organizations.

I express my deep gratitude to KSMU’s leadership represented by the rector, professor R.S.Dosmagambetova, Vice Rector for Strategic Development, Science and International Cooperation A.A. Turmukhambetova, to my scientific supervisor c.m.s, associate professor of the Internal Diseases Department No 2 Ye.M. Laryushina and to the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry for the opportunity to participate in international conference.
