XII Sports and Athletics Meeting among students for the prizes of the Akim of the Karaganda region
From February 22 to March 02,
2018 there was held XII Sports and Athletics Meeting among students for the
prizes of the Akim of the Karaganda region devoted to the 20th
anniversary of Astana.
Opening of the games was conducted on February26, 2018 in the sports hall of our university.
In gala atmosphere Sports and Athletics Meeting was opened by the Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Karaganda region H.E.Sukharukova. Rector’s adviser B.B.Molotov-Luchansky congratulated sportsman with the opening of the Sports and Athletics Meeting.
There was performed Hymn of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the flag of the games was introduced by leading sportsman of our University.
On behalf of the judiciary there was given an oath by the head of the judge in athletics T.A.Klesko.
On behalf of the student participants, an oath was made by a student of KSMU, 1st year student of the Faculty of General Medicine, Prize-winner of international wrestling competition Nurdaulet Zholdybay.
After the presentation of the main referees sport demonstration performances took place: defile of young drummers, students of the SS No. 58,ensemble of “Karakoz” and modern dance studio “Yes Team”.
Students of 9 universities of Karaganda region conducted exciting fights for 13 kinds of sports and fought for the title of "The most sporty university of the region": basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, checker, togyz kumalak, mini football, skating, asyk atu, cross-country skiing (relay race), kazakh kuresi, winter presidential all-around and track and field athletics.

The solemn closing of the Games was held in the track-and-field arena. Athletes were awarded certificates and memorable prizes.
