On February 24-25, traditional debated tournament "KazNMU CUP III" in memory of A.A.Akanov was held in KazNMU named after S.D.Asfendiyarov.

  64 student teams representing the universities of the RK took part in the third republican tournament.

  The Karaganda State Medical University was represented by the participants of the "Namys" debate club.

  According to the results of the qualifying rounds, all teams were divided into two leagues: "Alpha" and "Beta" in accordance with the collected speaker points. Speakers with the most points and the highest speaker points participated in the league "Alpha".

  At the end of four qualifying rounds, the two best teams of the tournament: KazNU named after Al-Farabi (Almaty) and KSMU (Karaganda) reached the final of the league "Alpha".Our students became the winners of the debated tournament "KazNMU CUP III" showing a meaningful game and an extraordinary will to win.

  The captain of the KSMU team Aizhan Malikaydar reached the final of the personal championship where she met with the speaker of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Nurtugan Omirzak. Vivid, convincing arguments of Aizhan made deep impression on the panel of judges bringing her an undisputed victory in the personal championship of the republican tournament and the title of "The best Speaker of KazNMU CUP III".
