In order to implement the Action Plan for 2017-2019 (Stage III) for the implementation of the State Program for the Development and Functioning of Languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan on February 26, 2018, there was held a visiting meeting of the terminological commission at the republican level on the topic "Optimization of medical glossaries applied in the official language of Greek-Latin terms approved at the international level"with the participation of specialists dealing with the problems of terminology and languages in the medical higher educational institutions, national and regional health departmentsand republican scientific organizations. Experts of the Republican terminological commission at the Ministry of Healthcare of the RK, specialists dealing with the problems of terminology and language in medical higher educational institutions, linguists, translators, methodologists, and language specialists took part in the conference.

Experts were invited to discuss about 2500 terms on pharmacological, pharmaceutical industries. In addition, there were discussed current issues of the translation of sectoral medical terminology, the introduction and unification of translated terms.
