On February 9, brain-ring tournament "Where? Where? In Karaganda!» dedicated to the City Day and opening of the Winter Olympics in Pyeong Chang was held in Karaganda.

The main goal of the event is the popularization of intellectual sports among students of universities.

Brain ring is an intellectual duel, where you need to have a broad mind and be able to respond quickly to changing situations, working in teams and quickly find the right answer.

The teams of the universities of the city took part in the tournament. The Karaganda State Medical University was represented by participants of the “INSIGHT” debate club consisting of: Arslanbek Avazov (1-003 GM), Alina Embergenova (1-004 PH), Ryszhan Zhomart (2-001 PH), Aizhan Malikova (2-039 GM) and Batyrkhan Ozbekov (1-024 GМ).

The tournament consisted of several stages: the quarter-finals, semifinals and final. In this battle of wits our guys demonstrated good knowledge about the "Kazakhstan's mining capital" and the history of the Winter Olympic, represented decently our university and could take a second place.
