On the
eve of the regional Olympics of the students, the Asyk Atu qualifying round was
held by the members of the KSMU team .
Asyk Atu - a national game of the Kazakhs, developing accuracy, hand-eye coordination, coordination and dexterity, is gaining in popularity every year both in and abroad Kazakhstan. In 2017, the decision of the International Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage "Asyk Atu" was included in the list of cultural heritage of UNESCO for a reason.
Almost two dozen sportsmen took part in the qualifying round, which resulted the formation of the university team to participate in the XII Olympic for the prizes of the Akim of the region. As a result of the tournament, Shukirbai Tolemurat (2-027 GM) was unanimously elected captain of the KSMU team.
