TRAINING OF A PhD STUDENT AT LUND UNIVERSITY (LUND, SWEDEN) IN THE FRAME OF ACADEMIC MOBILITY
A second-year PhD student of 6D110200 “Public Health” specialty
Alua Omarova has been studying at Lund University (Lund, Sweden) in the frame
of academic mobilityfrom 5th
of November 2017 to 29th of December 2017.
The course “Introduction to Research Management and Academic Writing” has been learned during the training. The course covered project management, academic writing, academic reading, critical thinking, Swedish health care system and education, and the structure of Lund University.
The research internship has been undergone at Lund University in parallel with the training. During the internship the paper entitled “Protozoan parasites in drinking water: A conceptual framework for improved water, sanitation and hygiene in developing countries” was completed and submitted to the journal “International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health”.
Furthermore, the topic and structure of the further paper on the topic of the PhD thesis have been identified with foreign advisers: professor Ronny Berndtsson and PhD Kamshat Tusupova.
For this opportunity and support I express my deep gratitude to Rector of KSMU, Professor R.S.
