I AM SINGING TO YOU, MY KAZAKHSTAN

At the Russian Language Department there was a contest of
patriotic song «My Kazakhstan», dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the
Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The competition is aimed at keeping
traditions and promote the formation of the civil position of students.
The first year students took part in
the musical competition. The students of the Faculty of General Medicine and (Dentistry
1-002 and GM 1-013) won first place. They presented an artistic and musical
composition about the hospitality of the Kazakh people. The second place was
taken by students of 1-014 GM and 1-015 GM groups of the foreign department
with the "My Motherland" song. The third place was won by students of
the 1003 GM group. 
People's Audience Award went to the groups of the foreign
department branch -1-016 GM and 1-017 GM, who told in the song «Земля Казахстана» (Land of Kazakhstan) that Kazakhstan, the
country where they «happened to study», has already become second home for
them. Winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes.
