On the eve of the Independence Day of Kazakhstan – 13^thDecember 2017 the Department of Propaedeutic of Childhood Diseases held a literary-musical composition "My heart desires the Independence!" in English for foreign students of the first year.

Students of 3048 multilingual groups: GaukharAhmetzhan, AminaGaysina, Almas Makenov, Madina Nurmudine, Ainur Hanazarova and students of 3-014а foreign groups:  Zaidi Muhammad Danish, Raziya, Amit Sharma, Chawla Bhupesh, Abdul Vasimtook part in the organization of the event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the event, students of the 3rd year introduced first-year students-foreigners with the history of this holiday, told about at what “cost” people of Kazakhstan gained freedom and independence.

Independence day is one of the main national holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan. On this day, December 16, 1886 young kazakh youth who believed in democratic change, went to a peaceful rally against the dictates of the center with the requirement to appoint to the post of head of the Republic the representative of the indigenous population. But the Soviet leadership sent troops and brutally cracked down on marchers, 8,5 thousand participants were arrested 99 of them were sentenced to prison terms. This day should remain in our memories forever!

From this historical day, a new era has begun in the development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan embarked on a new path of development, embodied a centuries-old dream of freedom and independence of the people. Our country is multinational, representatives live in peace and harmony of more than hundred nationalities. Friendship of peoples, mutual understanding and solidarity – the foundation on the basis of which new Kazakhstan is built!

Teachers of the Department who were eyewitnesses of the bloody December events made speeches at the end of the event. Also, the first year students shared their impressions and expressed their gratitude to the Department for the event.
