On December 8, 2017, the intellectual game for students of the International Medical Faculty devoted to the celebration of the Day of the First President and Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was carried out by the Foreign Languages Department in the Reading Room of hostel №2 of KSMU.

The event opening, led by four-year students of the General Medicine and Dentistry Faculty, began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The first task of the intellectual game was connected with a video in English, which reminded everyone of the milestones of the formation of independent Kazakhstan, and also highlighted the most significant achievements of the Republic in the international arena. Having watched it, the students of the International Medical Faculty were offered to answer a number of rather complicated questions related to the political and economic system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The second round of the intellectual game was preceded by the presentation containing interesting and significant facts from the biography of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - N.A. Nazarbayev, after which the quiz "My Kazakhstan" was held.

After each round the students of the International Medical Faculty could enjoy Kazakh folk music: for example, kyui “Erke sylkym” was performed by Nadira Rakhman; Bakbergen Aytbay, Alipa Shaymerdenova sang patriotic songs in the Kazakh language.

For the good knowledge of history, geography, culture, political system of Kazakhstan, some students of the International Medical Faculty were awarded with memorable prizes.

Appreciating the conducted intellectual game, the vice dean for educational work of the International Medical Faculty D.M. Doskozhin underlined the invaluable experience of intercultural exchange in the framework of such events.
