On November 16, the Sports club of KSMU along with the Department of Physical Education gave a start to the traditional "Freshman - 2017" Olympic.

  Former schoolchildren  and now university students competed in eight types of sports: basketball, volleyball, shooting, table tennis, asyk atu, chess, checkers and togyz-kumalak.

  First-year students of the University took part in the Olympic with great interest. Students who are not participants in the competition actively supported their teams in the stands. According to F.A.Batirov, such competitions are extremely necessary to find young, talented and well-trained athletes for the formation of university teams in various types of sports.

  As a result of the exciting sports contests the first place in the team event with 44 points was deservedly taken by "GM-1" team. The second place with 32 points was taken by the team of the faculty of "PHB and P". Two teams at once: "GM-2" and "Faculty of Preparation" with 29 points claimed on the third place. As a result of additional calculation of the first places, the bronze was won by the team of the "Faculty of SSRM" the team of "GM-2" had to be satisfied with the fourth place.

  The Sports club of KSMU expresses gratitude to all the teams for active participation in the preparation and conduct of the competitions. Special gratitude is to the "Training Faculty of Secondary Medical Staff" for the excellent work with the supporters and the “International Medical Faculty” for the systematic work on involving foreign students in the sports life of the University.

 All the winners and prize-winners of the competitions were awarded with certificates for participation.
