To date, the most urgent problems of modern pulmonology include such pathologies as pneumonia, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, bronchial asthma. Despite the introduction of new diagnostic methods, the difficulties associated with the absence of pathognomonic clinical-X-ray and morphological signs of diseases persist, which leads to a large number of diagnostic errors.  On October 13-14, 2017, the 4th IV Republican Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Innovative Technologies in Respiratory Medicine" was held in Astana in order to solve  these issues and the constant exchange of experience between domestic and foreign specialists in the field of respiratory pathology.

The organizers of the congress are the Euro-Asian Respiratory Society, Association of Respiratory Medicine Specialists, National Scientific Medical Center JSC, Medical University Astana JSC, and Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The work of the scientific - practical conference was attended by the doctoral student of the 2^nd year  LM. Stabayeva, who presented the intermediate  results of the thesis on the topic "Morphological predictors of differential diagnosis of sarcoidosis and pulmonary tuberculosis depending on the stage of development of granulomas" (heads of the chair of pathological anatomy of KSMU, MD, Professor M.M. Tussupbekova and  R .A. Bakenova, Chief  Therapeutist at the Hospital of the Medical Center for the Management of the Presidential Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan) in the form of a poster presentation.

At the end of the conference, there were summed up the results and the delivery of certificates. Scientific report of L.M. Stabayeva was named as the best in the section of poster presentations and was awarded a diploma of the first degree.
