Preventive discussion
On October 18, Department of Youth Affairs organized a meeting of the university students at KSMU with the investigator of the Central Police Department, captain M.A.Shokeeva, on the topic "Prevention of personal theft". The meeting was attended by rector’s assistant A.D.Karasartov and the head of the Department of Youth Affairs A.A.Ungarbayeva.
During the preventive discussion, a representative of law enforcement bodies acquainted the participants with the statistics of the offenses committed in the Karaganda region and also conducted awareness-raising on Article 188 of the "Theft" Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the article, a personal theft of citizens is punished by imprisonment for the term up to three years.
At the conclusion of the meeting, M.A.Shokeeva told what should be done by everyone not to become a victim of an offense and urged all those present to not leave their property unattended and remain vigilant.
