On the basis of the department of immunology and allergology together with representatives of the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline on October 14, 2017 there was organized a webinar on the topic «Unresolved problems of COPD patients in their daily life: how to decide on the choice of therapy?». This webinar was held in Astana in the framework of the Republican scientific and practical conference with international participation «Innovative technologies in respiratory medicine».

Two speakers made a speech online. The first report was made by Marina Golubovskaya Ph.D, manager of medical issues at GSK. Her presentation on the topic: «The opportunities  of bronchodilator therapy and when IGCS / LABA are recommended in COPD» aroused great interest among a wide audience, which consisted of representatives of doctors, researchers and students from Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Aktobe and Karaganda.

The questions of the participants of the webinar on the second report on the topic «Proper choice of an antibiotic in the treatment of exacerbation of COPD» was answered by the medical manager of GlaxoSmithKline Didar Bakybaev.

Doctors of general practice, students, residents, employees of the department expressed their gratitude to the head of the department, Ph. D, associate professor M.A. Gazalieva and the organizers of the webinar for the opportunity to exchange experiences in the field of respiratory medicine, in order to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.
