On October 5, 2017, within the framework of the Project Agreement: «Improvement of national human rights mechanisms in effective implementation of Kazakhstan's international obligations: second stage», signed by the Minister of Justice of the RK, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RK and the United Nations Development Program in the Department of Justice in Karaganda region. There was held a seminar-meeting with the participation of international experts in the field of forensic medical examination Rusudan Beriashvili and Miriam Dzhishkariani. The seminar-meeting presented materials of the international practice of the implementation of the Istanbul Protocol in the procedures of medical examination for representatives of state bodies and medical educational institutions in Kazakhstan on the issue of training forensic experts and doctors, regardless of the specialty. Representatives of the Department of Pathological Anatomy of KSMU took an active part in this seminar: forensic experts - associate professor V.L.Bogoslavsky, associate professor S. А. Musabekovа and assistant R.M. Dusmayilov. The event is devoted to the relevance of teaching skills and specific techniques for qualitative investigation and medical documentation of the facts of torture, using the recommendations of the Istanbul Protocol.
