ERASMUS + STAFF TRAINING WEEK, 2017 - Vilnius University

Vilnius University, Lithuania within the framework of the Erasmus+ program organized Staff Training Week from 25.09.2017 till 29.09.2017, where were representatives of more than 30 universities from 15 countries for exchanging experiences, ideas, best practices, establishing new contacts and strengthening cooperation.

Nowadays, Vilnius University is the oldest and largest university in Lithuania. The University has 13 faculties, 7 institutes, 4 interfaculty centers of education and science and oldest library in Lithuania. In 2016 it ranked among top 500 universities of the world.

During the week, we met with the Pro-Rector for Studies, Dr. Valdas Jaskūnas, Pro-Rector for Research, prof. Rimantas Jankauskas, Director of the Life Science center, Vice Dean for International Relations, prof. Jadvyga Krūminienė and etc., who presented information about the university, fields of activity and experience of participation in international programs.

We have visited main faculties of the university, Life Science Center, Kaunas faculty, library, museum, and also participated in the workshop «Building up University Community".

Participants were taken on guided tours to the city of Vilnius, Trakai - old capital of Lithuania and Kaunas old town.

I express my gratitude to the Rector of the KSMU, MD, prof. Raushan Dosmagambetova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Science and International Cooperation, MD, prof. Anar Turmukhambetova, department of international cooperation for such a great opportunity.

I also want to thank Skirmantė Savickaitė, Erasmus+ KA107 Coordinator and Raimonda Markevičienė, Head of International Relations Office for invitation, hospitality and interesting program.
