From 22 june to 5
july 2017 ten students of the “General Medicine” specialty of KSMU were in the
city of Bukhara, Usbekistan in the framework of the External Academic Mobility
Program of students between Bukhara State Medical Institutenamed
after Avicenna and Karaganda
Medical State University with
a view of its practical realization.
It was the first experience of exchange with this University, and we were left with great delight. We had our work practice at the Bukhara branch office of the EMCRSC as assistants of the treatment nurse. We gained valuable knowledge, new skills, also improved skills that we have already had. During the two weeks we had experiences in cardiology, neurosurgery, general surgery, gynecology, as well as pediatric surgery. We took part in all manipulations of the procedural and dressing nurse. Doctors shared their experience and knowledge, also we were in many operations, such as cranial trepanation, embryectomy, laminectomy, etc.
We could not miss the city itself. Bukhara is not one of the most famous cities of Uzbekistan, but also one of the oldest cities of the Turkic people. The city has a great history, remarkable architecture, with which we were eager to get acquainted. We visited the Ark fortress, architectural ensembles Poi-Kalyan, Lab-House, Bahauddin Naqshband and the Avicenna Museum. Most of all, we liked the Avicenna Museum, located near the city.
In particular we would like to note the benevolence, responsiveness and hospitality of the all Uzbek people.
We are very glad that we got an opportunity to acquire valuable professional skills and to be useful to our country in the future.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry of the Faculty of BSMI Teshayev Shukhrat Zhumaevich, Head of the Department of General Surgery Ruziev Akhtam Ergashovich, and our Head of the practice, Safarov Sunnat Sattorovich.
And also, we express our deep gratitude to the Rector of our University Dosmagambetova Raushan Sultanovna for the given opportunity to train in Uzbekistan.
