The group of seven Residency students of the Tyumen State Medical University has arrived at Karaganda State Medical University in the frame of academic mobility programme. The Residency students are citizens of Columbia: Osorio Estevez Ruth Yajaira (Therapy), Giraldo Ochoa Sindy (Radiology), Chacua Guiza Jessica Johana (Obstetrics and Gynecology), Castro Morales Camilo Andres (Ophtalmology), Caballero Castellanos Ana Durley (Neurosurgery), Panqueba Arias Danny Francisco (Obstetrics and Gynecology), Panqueba Arias Carlos Fernando (Pediatrics).   

The negotiation process according the implementation of this academic mobility programme was began in March 2017. All this period the future Residency students have intensively learned Russian, have attended the courses of preparation to enter the Residency, and have collected the documents to arrival at KSMU for studying. In August 2017 they were successfully entered at the list of Residency students of Tyumen State Medical University, the visa for coming in Kazakhstan was opened.

On 29 August, the students have arrived in Karaganda for the training during two months. The first days were introduction days: the organizational questions were solved, the meeting with the Dean’s Office of Residency and Additional education, the Head of the Centre of Practical Skills, the heads of the responsible departments, and the Rector of KSMU R. S. Dosmagambetova was held.

From September 4 the Residency students have begun to study. According to the agreement with Tyumen State Medical University it was decided to send the Residency students to the training at the Centre of Practical Skills on September. On October the students will have individual classes at the departments according to the training direction. Also the students will apply for visa in order to enter Russia for the full period of their training at the Residency.
