From the 7 to 9 of June 2017 the IX Congress of Cardiologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan  was performed in Almaty. This event was dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Within the framework of the congress, the actual questions of cardiology were discussed, the latest scientific innovative achievements of domestic and foreign  cardiology were presented, the latest international recommendations on the management of hypertension, IHD were reported. Master classes, lectures on the theme "A new look at the problem of prevention of cardiovascular diseases", "Modern approaches in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes with comorbid pathology" were performed. Karaganda State Medical University was represented by PhD - students E.B. Iskakov and O.A. Visternichan. They presented posters presentations on the topics: "Evaluation of preventive technologies for cardiac diseases at the PHC level" (scientific advisor MD, Professor K.A. Alikhanova), "Prognostic value of purine catabolites in patients with ischemic heart disease" (scientific advisor MD, Professor D.Zh. Taizhanova and Professor L.E. Muravlyova). According to the results of the Congress participants received certificates.
