Travel to Memorable Places of Karkaraly

06 June 2017

The teachers of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and social-political disciplines and students (members of the department’s history circle) travelled to Karkaraly from 26.05. to 28.05.2017. The aim was to visit the historical places of our region and interesting natural objects in Karkaraly area. Our group consisted of 26 persons (20 students of 1-6 courses and 6 teachers), who are enthusiasts of history, active and healthy lifestyle. We lived in “Medik”recreation center.

During hiking and excursions we visited “Big tent” cave, where we listened a short lecture on the history of Karkaraly and saw the memorial stone devoted to the folk composer MadiBapiUly; climbed to the famous lake titled Shaitankol (length of 21 kilometers); visited the monument of SenkibayBatyr, who fought against Junghar conquerors; made an excursion to the ancient monument: “Three caves” stay of primeval man.

Besides, we had a field session of the history circle, where the students AsiyaKadralinova (5th course of General Medicine) and SanzharZhumanbayev (2nd course of General Medicine) made two presentations. In addition, by the fire were performed songs in Russian, Kazakh, Ukrainian, English and Korean to the guitar by the students A. Abenova (3rd course of General Medicine), Sh. Akhmedov (4th course of General Medicine), A. Kadralinova (5th course of General Medicine), S. Tashenov (a residency student of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases) and by the other students and teachers.

In the opinion of students and teachers, our travel was a success: the aims were accomplished; we learnt many new facts about our region and relaxed both physically and emotionally, thus prepared to the upcoming exam session.
