II International Congress of Neurologists of Turkic Countries of the World

 On 26-27 May, NGO “Association of Neurologists” on the basis of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (Almaty) conducted the II International Congress of Neurologists of Turkic Countries of the World, attended by both famous Kazakhstan neurologists and their foreign colleagues from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, Kyrgyzstan.

  The Department of Neurology of KSMU was represented by M.D., Professor Kispaeva T.T., who made a report on the topic: “Cognitive impairment: a modern view of the problem” and moderated in the section “Cerebrovascular pathology” 

  During the plenary meeting and the work of the sections were actively raised the urgent issues of early diagnosis and modern methods of correction of neurological diseases. A special section “Young Scientist” was devoted to the work of residency students, undergraduates and students. Karaganda State Medical University was represented by the 5-year students: U.U. Usmanova, A.O. Abdilova, S. Belasarova, A.V. Ufimtseva, M. Ospanova, D.D. Khalmuminov, B.K. Akhatov (supervisor: Prof. Kispaeva T.T.). Within the framework of this section was noted the high level of speaking of students from Karaganda and the proper methodical preparation of reports. A number of students were assigned the prize-winning places: 2nd place was taken by Usmanova Umit, a 5-year student of 5-08group of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry, with the report “Practice of kinesio taping in dorsopathies”

  The 4th place was taken by Belasarova Sandugash, a 5-year student of 5-083group of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry, (“Modern aspects of the study of myasthenia during pregnancy”) and Maria Ospanova, a 5-year student of 5-081 group of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry. The jury of the section “Young Scientist” also appreciated the work of Abdilova Adil, a 5-year of 5-083 group of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry (“Modern aspects of hippotherapy in the rehabilitation of patients with cerebral stroke”), and Ufimtseva Anastasia, a 5-year student of 5-083 group of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry (“Effects of the use of kinesio taping in infantile cerebral paralysis”)
