Internship of KSMU Master's students in Malaysia

Internship of KSMU Master's students in Malaysia

31 May 2017

From May 11 to 20, 2017, Master's students of 1 year of "Medicine" specialty (17 people) underwent a scientific training "Short Course on Research Management" in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, in International Medical University (IMU). The purpose of the scientific internship was to study a short course on the management of scientific research. The duration of the course was 7 working days. Upon arrival at IMU, a Welcome Ceremony was held and an introduction to the faculty of the University. I want to note a very friendly and benevolent atmosphere, in which our undergraduates have plunged. After the acquaintance, MayKuan conducted an orientation tour of the campus, showing spacious auditoriums and lecture rooms, a practical skills center, with a variety of different mannequins, and a university lab that impressed with its rich equipment. After the excursion the undergraduates attended two lectures of Prof. MakJoonWah "Introduction to scientific research" and "Management of a scientific project".

Further, during the remaining training days, the undergraduates listened with interest to lectures, attended PBL classes, and worked in the university's laboratory. I want to say that the experience gained and the acquired knowledge during the internship will help every master’s student in writing a master's thesis.

On the last day of training, all undergraduates presented scientific projects on the topic of their research, which were highly appreciated by foreign colleagues. At the end of the presentations, Prof. Chu Wan Loy and Prof. Patricia Lim Kim Chooi thanked the undergraduates of KSMU for their work and the worthy presentation of our university at the internship. After that, the Closing Ceremony and the delivery of certificates were held.
