On 24 April at the Department of Emergency Medical Care No. 1 once again was successfully held a student conference on the methodology of scientific research.

5-year students of “General Medicine” specialty presented their scientific works, projects, shared their experience in writing essays, compiling E-posters, analyzing the scientific articles, developing the research projects.

The reports were made by the 5-year students: Ashimova A.B. (5-098 OM), Khamidulina N.N. (5-099 OM), Baltash B.M. (5-099 OM) on the topic “Analysis of the effectiveness of use of sodium ethamsylate in gastrointestinal bleeding under conditions of emergency care”. The research projects were created within the framework of the scientific student club under the supervision of the Head of Department, Associate Professor A.R. Alpyssova. Student research projects were developed and presented at the student conferences in Karaganda and Aktobe in the form of the oral reports and E-posters.

Students’ researching resulted in publication in the materials of student scientific-practical conferences, student competition held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as publication of abstracts of scientific works in the collections of Karaganda State Medical University, Semey State Medical University, South Kazakhstan State Pharmaceutical Academy, in “Allergology and Immunology” Journal. The research material was also sent to the XXIII World Congress on Clinical Medicine and Immunorehabilitation.

Students Medetbekova A.A. (5-061 OM), Prokofieva V.V. (5-068 OM), SmaghulN.andKalykberdy K. (5-015 OM) creatively approached the task of writing an essay on “Hyperthermia”, and they also told the audience about the characteristics of essay writing. The participants were interested in the topic and actively participated in the discussion.

During the other part of the conference were presented the analyses of scientific papers on the topic “Hyperthermia as a method of treatment of oncopathology”. Zhalel Zh.A. and Serikbay N.A. (5-061 OM), Kassenova S.Sh. and Nurmanova R.O. (5-068 OM), Seydalina A., BatkuldenM., TolegenovaA. (5-007 OM)acted as the independent experts and tried to comment on the scientific papers.

The conference ended with the teamwork, where the students had to make a draft of a research on the subjects of the medical field and to present their work to the listeners.

The Student Conference in the framework of research-based learning (RBL) was organized under the leadership of the Head of Department of Emergency Medical Care No. 1 A.R. Alpyssova, Assistant of Department Matayeva L.M., 1-year Master’s student Subbota Yu.V.

Thanks to the classes of such type, the students managed to learn the topic with interest, participate in discussions, and get new skills. The Student Conference in the framework of research-based learning (RBL) is a good motivation of young professionals to the research activity.
