The interdisciplinary interprofessional student conference "Legislation in the field of medicine: language and style of legislative texts" was held at the Russian language department. It was attended by the 2nd - year students of the General Medicine and Dentistry faculty and the cadets of Karaganda Law Academy named after B. Beisenov. The conference was held as a part of the theme "Official and Business Style" in the subject "Professional Russian Language". Students and cadets analyzed from the linguistical, medical, and legal point of view, as well discussed legislative texts on socially significant aspects of medical legislation, which concern future medical workers and law enforcement officers. The conference found many points of contact in the view of students and cadets, while it was accompanied by a discussion. The invited experts consulted on the legal issues: they are teachers of the Department of Civil Law of Karaganda Law Academy named after B. Beisenov - police captain Daulet Kumarbekovich Raibayev and senior police lieutenant Askar Kanatovich Alibayev.

The Department of the Russian language is grateful to the teachers of the language training department of Karaganda Law Academy named after B. Beisenov, the police major Maria Serikovna Abisheva and the police captain Yelena Nikolayevna Vasilishina.

The knowledge gained within the framework of the event will help expand horizons of future law enforcement officers and medical workers, improve the quality of training of specialists, strengthen scientific connections and develop the formal and business communication skills of the students.
