Training of PhD student at Lund University (Lund, Sweden) in the frame of the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility program

A 1-year PhD student of specialty 6D110200 “Public Health” Alua Omarova studied at Lund University (Lund, Sweden) in the frame of the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility program from 15th of January 2017 to 14th of April 2017.

During the mobility program Alua Omarova participated in the course “Environment and Sustainable Development” as a PhD student. The course covered the environmental implications of natural resource management, including political, social and economic aspects. The main objective was to put the management of land and water resources and their impact on the environment in a holistic and sustainable perspective taking into account the development.

In parallel with the training, A.O. Omarova had an opportunity to work with a foreign adviser, Professor Ronny Berndtsson on the topic of the doctoral dissertation. The result of the joint work was the preparation of a scientific article on the research topic. A detailed plan for further joint work was developed.

In addition, I would like to give thanks to the foreign adviser, Professor Ronny Berndtsson, PhD Kamshat Tusupova and all the academic and teaching staff of Lund University for the invitation, joint work performed, new information provided, assistance rendered and the enabling environment created.
