On 13-15 April 2017 at the main building of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) was held the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference #SCIENCE4HEALTH2017.

Within the framework of the conference was organized an Olympiad in various areas, including dentistry. The team of KSMU dentists was represented by Nikolay Shvenk (5-year student), Ruzilya Garifullina (4-year student) and Adil Zharmagambetov (4-year student). There were presented two poster presentations, one in English. The Olympiad consisted of several stages: application of practical skills in surgery, orthodontics, orthopedics, endodontics, modeling and solving a clinical task with diagnostics and treatment plan. There were 8 teams of dentists, who represented medical schools of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Hungary and Kazakhstan. According to the results of the Olympiad, the team of KSMU dentists took the 3rd place, having lost to the teams of Moscow and Vladikavkaz.
