Academic mobility in the frame of Erasmus+ programme of CASEU “Central ASian and European Universities” project (University of Poitiers, France)

From 9 to 24 March, two employees of Karaganda State Medical University underwent professional training at the University of Poitiers (France) in the frame of Erasmus+ programme.

S.B. Kassymova, the teaching fellow of Department of Public Health No. 1, Head of Department of International Cooperation, conducted classes in Public Health for the 4-year students of the medical school at the University of Poitiers. Jointly with A.S. Bokaeva, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Continuing Professional Development (Master's program and Ph.D. Program) completed the training in “Organisation of Academic Mobility, Internships and Joint Ph.D. for Students of Medical Universities”.

During the visit within the academic mobility programme, the employees of KSMU, Poitiers, and Colombia exchanged their experience in organising the academic mobility programme intended for students and teachers, postgraduate education in medicine, and in the creation of the electronic database of academic mobility.

During the meeting with the Vice-Rector of School of Medicine, were approved: academic mobility

of two teachers of the Department of Molecular Biology of the University of Poitiers to KSMU; an internship of one PhD student and master’s students of KSMU at Poitiers; a visit, within the academic mobility programme, of one teacher and one administrative employee of KSMU to Poitiers: extension of memorandum. There was also held a discussion of the possible opening of Joint Ph.D. and Split-PhD programme.

The organisers of the academic mobility programme conducted a tour around the University campus for the staff of KSMU, so that they could familiarise with the structure of the work of the University of Poitiers, schools, faculties, International Cooperation Departments at each faculty, arrangement of housing for international students, organisation of academic and social work with international students.

All participants were awarded the certificates at the end of the training.
