Multidisciplinary trainings
Within the framework of the Operational Plan of KSMU
for 2017, there were developed the multidisciplinary trainings under two
scenarios: “Emergency care in case of diabetic coma in pregnant women” and “Emergency
care in case of limb injury (putting a splint) of patient with acute stroke”. The
Department of Internal Diseases No. 3 jointly with the Department of
Perinatology developed a scenario “Emergency care in case of diabetic coma in
pregnant women”.
The residency students of the Department of Internal Diseases No. 3 of the following specialties: “Endocrinology, including children” - 5 people, “Nephrology, including children” - 3 people, “Hematology, including children” - 3 people, “Pulmonology, including children” - 3 people, “Cardiology, including children” - 5 people, took part in piloting and conducting the trainings.
The multidisciplinary trainings were very useful for us: we learned to diagnose and provide care in emergencies with combined pathology; consolidated the practical skills; learned how to work together in a team and collectively make decisions.
We express gratitude to our department and to the developers of clinical scenarios. We hope that such trainings will consolidate firmly in the residency, and will be supplemented with new scenarios.
