On the 7th of April the English Olympiad was held  among the  1,2,4 year students  of the faculties “ General medicine” and  “ Dentistry”  in  the Foreign Languages Department.  

   The Olympiad included three rounds. The tasks of the first round were directed to the elicitation of grammar and vocabulary knowledge. The second round was in the form of dialogues. The participants had to speak on a definite topic without preparation and to be able to prove their point of view. At the end of the 2nd round 12 participants left. The 3rd round was also aimed to the assessment of speaking skills, but in monologues. All the participants have demonstrated perfect knowledge of English and it wasn’t easy to choose the winners for the jury members. 

   After all scores had been calculated the jury called the best of the best. The following students were awarded with diplomas and gifts: 

the 1st  place – Mustafina Assem (1-008 GM), 

the 2nd – Igoshina Veronika (1-005 Dentistry), 

the 3rd – Zhetpisbayeva Dariga (2-021 GM). 

   Also the certificates of achievement and gifts were presented to: Zhumagazy Dana (2-021 GM), Zharylkassyn Akbota (1-013 GM), Zhumadildina Sabina (1-013 GM).
