Nauryz is a great and significant holiday of our people, which carries the ancient traditions and takes its origin in the mists of time, consequently has remained until today. On this day, nature wakes up, thus symbolizing the approach of spring, and likewise the changes in life of people: so comes “Ulystyn uly kuni” (“The great day of the people”), and according to the legend, the more generously and lavishly one celebrates the holiday, the more prosperous will the whole year be. People forgive others their offences, people purified their thoughts, thoroughly cleaned the houses – the renewal took place everywhere.

  It was a tradition to receive a blessing from a wise man. For the blessing of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine, Biology and Pharmacy were invited: Dean of Faculty of Preventive Medicine, Biology and Pharmacy Priz Vladimir Nikolaevich, Head of Youth Work Department Ungarbayeva Aigul Amanzholovna, Deputy Head of Youth Work Department Batirov Fakhritdin Abdizhapparovich.
  An important element of the holiday is preparation of national food. There was served a rich dastarkhan in accordance with all traditions, and students who came were treated with baursaks and oriental sweets. With congratulations and gifts to the holiday came the representatives of different nationalities: orthodox people who had celebrated Maslenitsa not long ago came with the main dish – bliny (pancakes); Uzbek people brought the traditional bakery – samsa.

All guests of the holiday were in a warm and friendly atmosphere that always can be felt at our faculty. Some people had a good time, and some found new friends, as there is a saying: “Strength of a bird – in wings, strength of a person - in friendship”.
