Solemn Event Dedicated to Nauryz Holiday

In Kazakhstan, spring restricts winter and appeares in full forceon 21 March,thuson this special day is celebrated the bright holidayNauryz, signifying not only the spring equinox, but also the renewal of nature. Nauryz in Kazakhstan symbolizes fertility, friendship and love. On this day people dress elegantly, go on a visit to relatives and friends and say good wishes. To the oriental people Nauryz ismuch like the New Year because both are considered the harbingers of a new life. Even the name of Nauryz holiday in Persian means nothing but a “new day”.

Celebration of Nauryz was held at the Department of General Medical Practice No. 3, nursing care with a course of neurosurgery. On 17March 2017 at a clinical site of the department, Polyclinic No. 3 of Karaganda was held a solemn event dedicated to the holiday of Nauryz. In the event took partthe academic and teaching staff of the department, over 50 interns of 6 and 7 courses, Polyclinic administration (Director Burankulova S.N.), and physicians of Polyclinic No. 3. For 2 hours,the hall was full of atmosphere of joy, warmth and kindness.

The audience remembered the splendid performances of the participants of the event, presentedin the form of theatrical performances of folk traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, such as “Betashar”, “Besikke salu”, “Tusau keser”. The poems of his own composition were recited in Kazakh by an intern of 6-117 group Aueskhanov Beknur. An intern of 6-122 group Eltaeva Alyash playedthe beloved melodies on dombra. The guests and audience with joy and pleasure sang along with the Quintet of our department, who performed a song titled “Kozimnin karasy”.The staff of the department and polyclinic danced around at the stage to the incendiary music. During the breaks in performances, the audience could participate in games and get memorable prizes.

The celebration was distinguished not only by the abundance of bright performances, but also by the contest conducted within the celebration. The competition included two main tasks, set before the participants. Each group had to choose a nationality for presentation, individually prepare the food and demonstrate it to the members of the jury and the audience, concurrently telling a story of its origin. Each participant wore clothes of the people being represented. There were presented the food and clothing of Kazakh, Uzbek, Tatar, Tajik, Turkish, Bashkir, Kyrgyz people. The contestants surprised the guests by their resourcefulness and talents, applied in cooking of Nauryz kozhe, beshbarmak, tandyr, lagman, pilaf, lakhmanchur, uchpuchmak, chakchak, baklava, talkan, baursak, sumalyak and many other. According to the results of the competition, the winners became a 7-year student Dyusenov Abu who had presented the Kazakh national food “Beshparmak” and a 6-year intern Smabaeva Nurgul who had shown the Tajik national clothes. All the event participants were awarded nominal diplomas, and the winners received valuable prizes. At the end of the event, all participants gathered at the rich dastarkhan, and having fun and sense of joy of the holiday, tasted the treats prepared by them.

The solemn event dedicated to the holiday of Nauryz will remain for a long time in the memory of the staff of the department, polyclinic and our students, interns of the Department of General Medical Practice No. 3, nursing care with a course of neurosurgery.
