On 15 March 2017 at 12.00 o’clock at the Department of Public Health No. 1 (40 Gogol Str.), in 325 Auditorium was held a theatrical performance titled “Kosh keldin, Nauryz”.

In the event took part the teachers, doctoral students, master’s students of the Departments of Public Health No. 1 and No. 2 and the students of the 5th course of “Public Health” specialty. The event implied demonstration of national traditions, customs of the Kazakh people such as “Kelin tusiru”, “Asyk oinau”, “Konak karsy alu”, “Arkan tartysy”, “Korisu”, “Synsu”, “Betashar”, “Syrga alu, “Ak zhol toseu”, “Suyinshi surau”and serving the traditional food.The most important traditional dish is “Nauryz kozhe”, consisting of seven ingredients: water, milk, cereal, smoked meat, shuzhyk,salt, ayran, that embody seven days of the week - the units of time of the universal eternity.The theatrical performance was augmented by “Alkissa” kui, folk dances, the songs of the great Kazakh composer Shamshi Kaldayakov, and “Atameken”song performed by the teachers of the Department of Public Health No. 1.

The celebration ended with the traditional “Kara zhorga” dance, after which all the guests were invited to the festive dastarkhan with the traditional Kazakh food.
